Volkswagen (VW) Golf GTI (1983)
This car is the last year of production for the MK1 golf GTI hard top. It has the twin front lights which are only seen on the later versions of this model.
A few changes have been made including the suspension from coil-overs to standard. The seats have all been recovered .
The car came with a modern stereo system which has been replaced with a period correct radio-cassette.
The following information was provided by the previous owner roughly 5 years ago:
The engine has been fully rebuilt with new pistons and rings.
New oil pump fitted, cylinder head pressure tested, cleaned, very light port and polish (flow tested, results printed). New camshaft and new lobes, etc.
Full new injection system, including new Bosch fuel pump, new Bosch accumulator, new Bosch injectors and new stainless steel fuel lines throughout. Plus new fuel tank. 5th injector, original but tested and cleaned.
New alternator, battery, coil, plugs and leads.
New brake lines throughout, new callipers, pads and disks. New rear drums and internals.
New wheel bearings throughout.
Full set of new bushes throughout car.
Bodywork is immaculate. New fuel filler pipe, both front wings replaced with VW wings, New VW bonnet, full respray of car. The underside was fully stripped to bare metal, Por 15 treated, then fully covered in Eastwood underseal.
Jetex aluminumized steel exhaust paired with a four branch stainless manifold. I wanted to keep the car as original as possible and finally decided on this setup purely for the fact it can easily be swapped back to the original with little hassle.

50% deposit required at time of booking.
Balance payable 14 days prior to event.
Client/Customer Booking Fees
When booking a vehicle through TV and Movie Action Vehicles a ‘booking fee’ of 10% of the total booking value charged to hirer. This fee may be reduced or waived for extended or multiple bookings. This fee is subject to VAT.
